John Mermon found guilty on an indictment for a burglary in the dwelling house of William Green in the parish of Romford on 20th April 1797: stealing therefrom 40 yards of chintz (valued at £4), 49 yards of printed cotton (valued at £6), 1 chintz half shawl (valued at 3/-), 100 yards of ribbon (valued at £1.10/-) and 50 yards of thread lace (valued at £1.17/-).  Executed on Friday, 11 August.
